Geoff Saffer, CFA
Head of Corporate Research

As Head of Corporate Research, Geoff prepares in-depth research reports on small and mid-cap companies.
These reports help investors gain a detailed understanding of these less-publicised companies, as well as helping the specific businesses raise their investment profiles.
Geoff also works with the Research Team in performing fundamental analysis for the Australian equities featured across the reports.
Geoff has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program and is a CFA charter holder, passing each of the three examinations on the first attempt.
He has also completed a Bachelor of Business (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Business (Banking and Finance) at RMIT University.
Through his comprehensive studies and experience, Geoff has gained an extensive knowledge and thorough understanding of financial markets and fundamental analysis.
Geoff has a passion for identifying macro economic trends and is skilled at uncovering undervalued companies using a Growth At a Reasonable Price (GARP) strategy.
He couples this with a solid understating of technical analysis, meaning he is well equipped to research the best investment opportunities for Australian Stock Report members.

Christopher Conway

Chris completed a double degree in Law and Economics before deciding his interest lay in financial markets rather than the judicial arena - and who can blame him?
As the Head of Research, Chris is responsible for ensuring the Research and Trading Team remains focused on its goal of providing Australian Stock Report members with quality, unbiased and independent financial research.
Since beginning his trading career, Chris has developed a strong interest in and knowledge of technical analysis, completing a Diploma in Technical Analysis (ATAA) and becoming a Certified Financial Technician (IFTA).
Chris supports his strong technical skills with a solid understanding of economic relationships and fundamental influences.
Chris is currently undertaking his Masters in Applied Finance through FINSIA.

Kel Butcher
Senior Trader

Kel Butcher is a professional trader with over 20 years experience in financial markets.
Kel trades multiple instruments over multiple timeframes, all through technical analysis based, mechanical trading systems which have strict entry, exit, position sizing and money management rules.
When pressed for a 'favourite' market, Kel nominates futures markets where high liquidity and real supply and demand factors combine to create an efficient marketplace, though he is also an active trader in equities and forex.
Kel is also the author of three trading books, has contributed to two others and is a regular contributor to various journals and magazines on trading and investing. He also acts as a mentor to a number of private and corporate clients.
Kel plays an active role in the recommendations of the CFD and FX Reports and shares enormous wealth of trading knowledge and experience with the Research Team.

Benny Sada, BEc(Hons) MAppFin(FINSIA)
Senior Equity Analyst

Utilising his impressive qualifications and passion for fundamental analysis, Benny ably fulfils the role of Senior Equity Analyst at Australian Stock Report.
The research Benny conducts forms the basis for the analysis which makes up the Traders and Investors Reports, Australian Stock Report’s flagship Australian equity products.
Benny employs a variety of tools when conducting research on Australian companies, ranging from financial statement analysis to the development of valuation models, which provide him a strong understanding of macroeconomic and industry trends, and their associated impact on equities.
As well as having completed a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and a Master of Applied Finance (FINSIA), Benny has completed the first two levels of the CFA program and is currently enrolled in the June 2012, Level 3 exam.

Adam Halantas, BBus (FRM) MAppFin (FINSIA)

Adam completed his undergraduate Business degree in 2007, majoring in Financial Risk Management and International trade.
Not satisfied, he went on to complete his Maters in Applied Finance (FINSIA) in early 2011.
At Australian Stock Report Adam utilises his extensive analytical skills to provide analysis for the Traders and Investors Reports, our flagship Australian equity research products.
Adam uses a variety of different research tools including financial statement analysis and the earnings multiple valuation method, to varying forms of technical analysis.
Always keen to further his ability to analyse various instruments, Adam is currently completing the final subject required to earn him a Diploma of Technical Analysis (ATAA) and a Certified Financial Technician (IFTA) accreditation.

Karene Arundell - BA

Karene has over ten years experience in writing, editing and researching, having written two educational workbooks on human development for a Brisbane-based publishing company and also penned an immigration guide for Canadian investors seeking relocation to America.
Karene spent the last few years living in Canada, where she chose to focus on finance writing in the place of humanities subjects.
She spent two years at a Canadian investment firm, Odlum Brown, where she worked closely alongside a team of analysts, aiding in editing, research, writing and publishing.
Having returned to Australia in 2007, Karene now not only assists the analysts at the Australian Stock Report but also researches, edits and develops the reports.
She is still a psychologist at heart, though, and has a particular interest in the psychology of trading.

David came to Australian Stock Report in early 2010 and has quickly become a valued member of the team.
Bringing with him extensive financial services training and education experience, David provides an invaluable service to both new and existing clients.
A keen trader himself, David has built up an impressive knowledge base over the past six years focusing mainly on technical analysis.
He has studied a wide range of strategies which he utilises over numerous markets, including Australian equities and foreign exchange.
Predominantly a short-term trader, David utilises CFDs and options – leveraged products which help him to maximise his return whilst at the same time manage his risk in the correct manner.
Always looking for an edge, he leaves no stone unturned in his preparation and adheres strictly to his trading rules and system.
David's role in member support allows him to combine his strong interest in the markets and his excellent coaching skills to help our members get the maximum benefit from their use of our reports and their attendance at our trading workshops.

Carl Capolingua, BEc Grad Dip FP(FINSIA)

With over 15 years experience investing privately and for clients, Carl has extensively traded equities, options, futures, foreign exchange and CFDs. Further, he has navigated all types of market conditions and has traded over both short- and long-term time horizons.
Carl has delivered presentations on trading and investing to over 20,000 people throughout Australia and New Zealand over the last five years and has helped countless clients to improve their trading outcomes.
He also writes the long running and popular ‘Terms of Trade’ column in the finance section of the Saturday Heral- Sun newspaper.
Carl's current role as Head of Education sees him coordinating a team of professional traders who are contracted to deliver Australian Stock Report's Live Data Trading Workshops.
Carl and his team teach technical analysis, money management, and trading psychology to intimate classes in a live trading environment. He also coordinates the workshops to take advantage of live trading opportunities on foreign equity, foreign exchange, and commodities markets.
Having worked around both novice and professional traders, Carl is well equipped to cater to the varying needs of each group, and capable of understanding what they want out of Australian Stock Report's investment products.

David has a science & engineering background and has been an investor and trader for over 17 years.
David's strategy includes medium- to long-term investing in equities and short-term trading in options, equities, CFDs and futures on local and international markets.
He has educated and spoken on the topic of trading and investing to thousands of people both in Australia and New Zealand.
David has held various roles in the financial services industry for over 12 years, ranging from product development to senior executive management.
